What is Global Biotech Week?

BIOTECanada, Canada’s biotechnology industry association introduced the first National Biotechnology Week in 2003, encouraging provincial industry associations to create industry and outreach events. The goal was simple: to increase awareness of biotechnology and to celebrate science.

Felix is a helix (a double helix, to be precise!) and he's our GBW-Sask mascot. He can be a wily guy – tough to find!  Felix will be in Saskatchewan this year for Global Biotech Week!

Ag-West Bio is Saskatchewan’s bioscience industry association and bioeconomy catalyst.
​Since 1989, our mandate has been to help move research to market and grow biobusiness in the province. A not-for-profit and membership-based company, Ag-West Bio members include public research institutions, private companies (from start-ups to multinationals), research service organizations, economic development and commodity groups.
