Art & Science have more in common than you might think. Both require curiosity, creativity, and technical skill, and both can seem like magic! This partnership between Nuit Blanche and Global Biotech Week – to celebrate art and science.
Nuit Blanche is a free, night-time arts festival that showcases and celebrates art and culture. Sask Polytech BioScience Technology program students will use a (harmless) e.coli bacteria as a painting medium. When the paint is applied, it is almost invisible – but as the bacteria multiplies, magic happens! The artwork will be on display at Oskayak High School on Broadway Avenue during the event and students will be on hand to explain the process to the public. |
